The plot of the movie

Legendary pioneer Hugh Glass is seriously injured in a fight with a bear, and left for dead by his fellow expedition to the uncharted expanses of the American Wild West. In an effort to survive Glass steadfastly meets adversity befell him and betrayed by friend John Fitzgerald. Driven by the power of will and love for his family, Hugh must overcome the harsh winter in order to survive and find redemption.

The Story of a Real Man

Beginning of the nineteenth century, the United States, Missouri. The group of colonists, losing most of his comrades in the battle with the indigenous population avoids death under the harsh Indian tomahawks and eager to return to the camp. They have to go through the impenetrable forest. Hunter and conductor Hugh Glass (Leonardo DiCaprio) comes to grips with a grizzly-bear and gets seriously injured. When it becomes clear that Glass will not survive, the unit moves on, and the dying man is his son, an Indian-Blood (Mark Hrisko) and "a couple of great young guys."

One of them - Texas Ranger John Fitzgerald (Tom Hardy), an outspoken villain who does not want to take care of the Glass. It kills Indian pridushivaet wounded, lying partner and escapes. But Hugh is selected from the grave, surviving all deaths of spite, and begins a dangerous journey alone. Through the snow, cold and ice indifferent to the people of undeveloped land. His goal - revenge for his son, and it's sweet and bitter and gives a sharp sense of Glass forces, are rarely subject to weak human beings.
